Our Business Banking team ⭐

Monzo Business is on a mission to make banking effortless for small businesses. We help people start, run and grow their businesses with simple, transparent banking and tools that reduce financial admin, so they can spend more time focusing on what matters most.

We're launching Monzo Business in Spain, initially focusing on sole traders and simple micro-businesses. While many customers will use a self-serve journey, we know there are moments where speaking to a real person can make all the difference.

As our Sales Support Specialist, you'll be based in London as part of our UK Sales team, working closely with Spain Go-To-Market, Growth Product, Customer Operations, Risk and Compliance. You'll combine hands-on sales with experimentation and customer insight — helping high-intent customers move forward while shaping the playbook for how Sales can best support our growth in Spain.

This isn't a traditional role focused solely on outbound sales or short-term conversion. You'll have the opportunity to test, learn and influence how we build a safe, effective and scalable sales motion for Spain from the ground up.

🔑 You’ll play a key role by...

Supporting and converting high-intent Spanish-speaking prospective customers through phone and email, using consultative sales skills to understand their business, needs and questions.Working across assisted-conversion journeys such as waitlist conversion, lead follow-up, product education and application recovery.Explaining Monzo Business's proposition, product capabilities and application process clearly, helping customers understand their next step without providing financial, tax, legal or regulatory advice.Qualifying and prioritising opportunities, handling objections and following up consistently to help customers progress through their journey.Helping run GTM and conversion experiments, capturing customer outcomes and working with Spain GTM and Growth Product to understand what's working and what we should change.Turning customer conversations into actionable insight by identifying recurring questions, objections, unmet needs and journey friction.Helping shape our Spain sales playbook, including messaging, qualification, objection handling, scripts and customer journeys.Maintaining accurate customer records and working closely with Customer Operations, Risk and Compliance to ensure customers receive the right support and escalations when needed.

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

You're fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of Spanish culture, customer expectations and communication styles. You have hands-on sales experience, ideally as an Account Executive, Sales Development Representative or Business Development Representative, and are comfortable qualifying opportunities, handling objections and following up with customers. You have experience selling to or supporting small businesses, ideally within financial services, SaaS or another complex service environment. You're a consultative communicator who listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions and can explain complex topics simply while building trust with customers. You're excited by experimentation and comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-changing environment where you'll help shape processes and playbooks as well as follow them. You're highly organised, comfortable working with CRM tools or structured customer data, and bring strong judgement, integrity and customer care to every interaction. You enjoy working cross-functionally and can turn what you're hearing from customers into useful insights for teams such as Product, GTM, Marketing, Operations, Risk and Compliance.

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With

Selling to or supporting Spanish sole traders, micro-businesses or SMEs.Banking, payments or another regulated industry.Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.Spanish company formation or small-business financial administration.Customer research, voice-of-customer programmes, sales enablement or GTM experimentation.

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Monzo, we’re dedicated to creating a diverse and welcoming team.
