Requirements
- Experience in finance and accounting
- Required experience with full-cycle monthly close reconciliation and audit
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP and SUMIFS
- Strong quantitative analysis strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
- Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Intacct or Blackbaud
- Openness to leveraging new technology especially AI tools
- General comfort with technology systems
- Typically 5-8 years of work or post-secondary educational experience
Day to day
- Serve as outsourced accountant for a portfolio of schools, managing day-to-day full-cycle accounting and compliance with care and precision.
- Close books monthly quarterly and annually while preparing accurate financial statements and supporting audit and 990 work.
- Partner closely with school leaders and internal teams to solve accounting issues implement best practices and deliver data-driven insights.
