Remote Security Engineer, Incident Response Job in UK Meta

Who you are

• Have a minimum of 7 years' experience in Security Incident Response, Investigations, and Response Engineering
• Possess knowledge of networking technologies and experience in analyzing network-based security events
• Understand operating systems, file systems, and memory structures with expertise in host and memory forensics
• Demonstrate experience in investigating and responding to external and insider threats
• Proficient in coding/scripting in general-purpose languages
• Familiarity with attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures
• Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Security

Desirables

• Lead Security Incident Responder
• Background in malware analysis
• Experience in threat hunting
• Broad knowledge across security domain

What the job involves

• Lead security incident response in a cross-functional environment and drive incident resolution
• Develop Incident Response initiatives to improve Meta’s capabilities in responding to security incidents
• Perform digital forensic analysis on various assets including endpoints, servers, and networking equipment
• Conduct log analysis from different sources to identify potential threats
• Build automation for response and remediation of malicious activity
