Who you are

  • Analyze, fix, and test vulnerabilities in Ubuntu packages
  • Track vulnerabilities in Ubuntu releases
  • Collaborate with Ubuntu community and upstream developers
  • Audit source code for vulnerabilities
  • Understand common security vulnerability categories
  • Familiar with coordinated disclosure practices
  • Know open source development tools
  • Skilled in one/more of C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, or PHP
  • Experience in logic, problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision-making
  • Effective communicator with team and community members

  • Join an industry leading software security team and protect Ubuntu users from emerging threats
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to identify, prioritize issues and track progress
  • Engage in security assessment, code review, internal tooling developments, community engagement, and security hardening
