Remote Security Engineer Job in Ontario, CA Cognizant

Who you are

• Must have 4-7 years of experience in firewall operations specifically with Google Firewalls and Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls
• Good understanding of Palo Alto Network firewalls and Cisco, including configuration, rule management, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with feature such as advanced threat protection and SSL decryption
• Expertise and understanding on VPN(RA,S2S) Configuration, ACL / NAT configuration
• Proficiency in managing Palo Alto firewalls through Panorama. This includes policy management, device groups, templates, and centralized monitoring/logging

What the job involves

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of various firewall systems including Google Firewalls and Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls.
• Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quickly resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability.
• Review vulnerability scan output and assess update configuration/OS upgrade can be used to mitigate attacks.
• Incident management, Change Management for different severity levels and following critical issue matrix for ensuring SLA adherence.
• Detailing changes, Run books, SOP, Diagrams.
