Who you are

  • Understand common security vulnerabilities and how to fix them
  • Familiar with coordinated disclosure practices
  • Know open-source development tools and methodologies
  • Skilled in C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, or PHP
  • Strong logic, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication with team and Ubuntu community



What the job involves

  • Join an industry-leading software security team to protect the open-source community and Ubuntu users from emerging threats
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify, prioritize, and track vulnerabilities
  • Participate in security assessment, code review, tooling development, community engagement, security hardening, and industry collaborations with international travel several times a year
