Remote Senior Accountant Job in United States Everyday Health Group

Who you are

• B.S. in Accounting, CPA a plus
• 3-5 years related experience within a digital media company or related field
• Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
• Pride in accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience with Oracle
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
• Exposure and experience in Sarbanes Oxley a plus

What the job involves

• Responsible for all account reconciliations, monthly close tasks and accounting for different business units.
• Work on projects related to budgeting, forecast, product planning and other performance guidance updates.
• Report directly to the Senior General Accounting Manager and work closely with various accounting and financial planning teams across the Company.
• Recording and managing general ledger transactions related to both non-advertising and advertising revenue streams.
• Ownership over specific businesses for daily operations.
• Preparation of month-end balance sheet and income statement account analysis.
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements and analysis.
• Monitoring intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Responding to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting financial data.
• Completing external audit requests by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts.
• Protecting the organization's value by keeping financial and operational information confidential.
