Remote Senior Application Security Specialist Job in Washington, DC Microsoft

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• 3+ years experience in application security or software development lifecycle practices

Desirables

• Certifications such as CISSP or CEH
• Understanding of reading and/or writing code
• Experience working on an application or service development team
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to analyze complex problems and drive process and structure into a dynamic environment

What the job involves

• Provide technical depth and expertise in application and infrastructure security assessments for business applications
• Support and guide the team working with application developers to meet security, privacy, accessibility, and resilience requirements
• Define and manage key measures for security and lead the state of practice in application development security
• Represent your work to partners and leadership, manage multiple heterogeneous projects simultaneously
• Build and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders and leadership and act as a trusted advisor
