Who you are

  • Demonstrated progressive sales leadership experience
  • Consistently achieved bookings targets >$10m in IACV
  • Leading field sales teams using MEDDPICC or similar sales methodology
  • Experience selling multi-million dollar deals to Fortune 500 companies
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems and marketing automation systems
  • Effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Executive level communication skills
  • Experience coaching and developing Sales reps and managers
  • Proven track record of selling and coaching account executives to sell into new customer accounts
  • Ability to travel as needed

What the job involves

  • Lead a dynamic sales team to help GitLab surpass growth goals. Responsible for hiring, developing, and leading a high-performing team of Strategic Account Leaders. Develop and execute strategies focused on expanding the client base within the territory.
  • Manage a team of Area Sales Managers and Strategic Account Leaders; foster a positive team environment. Maintain and grow accounts within the territory and convert new accounts at acceptable margins. Engage Channels, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales resources during the sales process.
  • Effectively establish strong relationships with key decision-makers. Develop and maintain a strong executive call plan and relationship with CXOs & Program level leaders. Utilize advanced offering knowledge to develop customized proposals.
