Who you are

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent experience
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Privacy specific qualifications including: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO certification (at least two desirable)
  • Fellow of Information Privacy (desirable)
  • CISA, CISM, ISO27001 lead auditor (desirable)
  • At least five years of relevant experience carrying out assignments, alone or as part of a team
  • Applying knowledge, skills, and experience

What the job involves

  • The Senior Consultant is accountable for leading client engagements end-to-end, playing a key role in the successful delivery of a high-class service. The Senior Consultant is responsible for ensuring the client receives the proper service through proactive attention to planning, analysis, execution, and adequate project close-out. They may be the sole delivery resource on a client engagement or may lead a small team as the senior delivery resource on site, delivering Privacy Advisory services and solutions, which include Data Protection Officer (DPO) as a Service, Privacy Gap Assessments, Maturity Assessments, and Compliance Audits, Privacy-by-Design, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs / DPIAs) and Breach and Incident Response Support.
  • The consultant may deliver general information security, risk, and/or assurance activities in line with the DTC Service Catalogue. They work closely with practice managers and other consultants to establish and maintain lines of communication between the client and BSI. They also provide pre-sales support, perform active quality assurance, and participate in client and internal team meetings, mentoring, and training sessions.
