Requirements
- 6-8+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production systems
- Strong pipeline design and orchestration skills in a production environment
- Advanced SQL for complex transformations performance tuning and debugging in a cloud data lake or warehouse
- Strong Python for production-grade code scripting testing and debugging
- Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and managing cloud data resources
- Familiarity with AWS data infrastructure including S3 IAM and relevant managed services
- Experience inheriting and improving systems you did not build
- Clear written communication for documenting systems processes and recommendations
- Comfort working across team boundaries with engineering and product on data needs
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows

Day to day
- Design and build data pipelines that move information across ingestion transformation compliance and cross-domain flows
- Own pipeline operations end to end including monitoring incident resolution and data quality across both new and inherited workloads
- Assess existing data systems map dependencies improve observability reduce technical debt and strengthen reliability across the platform
- Provision and manage cloud data infrastructure using IaC standards and contribute to shared platform work as the stack evolves
