Requirements
- 4+ years in data platform engineering
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Hands-on DBT experience
- Dimensional modeling fluency including star schemas facts and dimensions
- Experience with Dagster strongly preferred
- Experience with DuckDB or MotherDuck preferred
- Ability to analyze data directly
- Bonus experience with AI and LLM-adjacent data work
- Azure experience
- Utility energy PropTech or billing background
- Experience building data products for external customers

Day to day
- Build and maintain modeled data pipelines that power customer-facing reporting on consumption cost and rate trends
- Design AI-ready data infrastructure including ingestion semantic models storage and retrieval patterns using SQL RAG vector or graph approaches
- Develop robust dimensional models facts and dimensions plus reliability tooling for testing lineage freshness monitoring and alerting
- Partner closely with engineers analysts and product managers to turn vague requirements into concrete data solutions
