Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering or BI development experience with deep T-SQL and SQL Server
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Production experience with at least one analytics warehouse stack such as Snowflake BigQuery or Redshift and modern ELT tooling such as dbt Fivetran or Airbyte
- Strong query performance instincts including indexing strategy execution plans statistics partitioning and rewrite patterns
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language preferably Python
- Experience with SSRS or another enterprise reporting platform
- Ability to operate as a senior IC and own scope end to end without close supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfort working directly with external customers and stakeholders
Day to day
- Design, optimize, and maintain stored procedures and SSRS reports for the reporting environment
- Own the customer-facing Postgres data mart and support enterprise clients with accurate, reliable data access
- Co-own the migration from legacy Go ETL to a modern Fivetran Snowflake dbt Postgres pipeline while helping troubleshoot discrepancies and improve performance
