Who you are

• Experience working with data warehouses and Redshift.
• Experience producing data models and physical schemas.
• Knowledge of ETL, AWS service and tooling landscape.
• Experience building data pipelines and orchestrating workflows.
• Engineering ability including coding and CI/CD pipelines deployment.
• Understanding of data management and governance in big data environments.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively.

Desirables

• Understanding of Kimball methodology
• Expert knowledge of OLAP, Data Mart, Data warehouse
• IAM, RBAC, AWS security experience
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Experience building ingestion processes with Python
• IaC experience, knowledge of AWS constructs
• Machine learning experience

What the job involves

• Own every aspect of Reach’s use of the Redshift platform including regulatory and data policy compliance.
• Implement a high-performance EDW using Redshift to power reporting and analytics across the organisation.
• Work closely with the Ingestion team and Data Architect to understand data brought into the data lake.
• Liaise with data and BI engineers, data modelers, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Recommend and justify technology choices, provide database support, and resolve problems.
• Collaborate to unify data sets and create a uniform view of business data, as part of the long-term data strategy.
• Document and diagram decisions for a broader audience.
