Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent role producing models and analytics for business applications
- Deep understanding of advanced data science techniques machine learning algorithms and optimization methods
- Experience building and deploying machine learning models
- Proficiency in data engineering and data pipelines
- Skill in advanced data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights
- Mastery of Python and SQL version control Git and ability to learn new data science tools quickly
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities strong leadership skills and strategic communication ability
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in technical growth and development
- Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Day to day
- Lead full-stack data science projects from ideation through implementation, building predictive models, algorithms, and data pipelines that power civic engagement tools.
- Analyze very large and complex datasets to uncover actionable insights, inform product development, and improve feature prioritization for internal teams.
- Communicate data-driven stories clearly through compelling visualizations, memos, and presentations, while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and research partners.
- Mentor junior data scientists and apply emerging AI techniques to prototype innovative solutions for real-world R&D challenges.
