Remote Senior Data Scientist Job in United States Noom

Who you are

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in a similarly-sized organization with a proven record of analysis and research that positively impacts your team
• Superior knowledge of statistical analysis methods, such as feature selection, logistic and standard regression, random forests, etc.
• Extensive experience with pandas, numpy, and sklearn
• Experience with forecasting (prophet, orbit) and causal inference (DoWhy, CausalML) tools is a plus
• Experience with engineers in building an actual production system that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence. we don’t expect you to write production-quality code, but you should have some programming experience
• Familiarity with financial forecasting, customer lifetime value prediction, customer segmentation, propensity and uplift modeling and causal inference techniques
• Excellent SQL/relational algebra skills, ideally with at least a basic knowledge of how different types of databases (e.g.: column vs row storage) work
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

What the job involves

• Partner with stakeholders across Noom to implement and scale a data science system that can accurately measure and predict the cost of the services we provide our community of users
• Develop and maintain models to differentiate fixed vs. variable costs, aiding in understanding how different business lines scale under different scenarios
• Estimate the implications of different product and operational choices, enabling informed decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and operations to support data-driven decision-making
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
• Learn from and influence a diverse team of data scientists working on problems across Noom
