Who you are

• Previous experience of SQL server administration
• Demonstrable experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes using tools like PowerShell
• Ability to operate SQL performance management tools like Foglight
• Experience and/or recent study of Azure or AWS
• Understanding of good practices for standard, repeatable deployment processes and procedures
• Knowledge of security best practices for SQL server administration
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, enthusiastic, and resilient
• Effective time management skills

What the job involves

• Deliver high quality SQL DBA services for various customers, ensuring database servers are built, configured, secured, enhanced, and operated efficiently both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Test high availability and business continuity plans for customer systems.
• Plan, design, and implement new builds for major corporate and government clients, including creating and maintaining high and low-level documentation.
• Provide support and mentoring internally and externally, adhering to SLA’s and OLA’s.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and refine technical solutions across the product lifecycle.
• Participate in an On-Call rotation to provide 24/7 support for customers.
