Who you are

  • Extensive experience in commercial lending in real estate investment, development, and buy-to-let markets
  • Experience with new and existing business applications, management reporting, policy and product development, market development
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of loans/clients including the acquisition of new clients
  • Maintaining and developing trusted relationships with clients, brokers and their advisors
  • Preparation and presentation to sanctioning authority of high quality credit papers
  • Timely and professional execution of deal structures
  • Ensuring appropriate security items are taken
  • Ensuring that AML/KYC due diligence is satisfactory
  • Ensuring all facilities are operating in accordance with agreed terms
  • Reviewing and accurately assessing risk rating characteristics
  • Ensuring industry / legal precedents are incorporated into Bank legal documentation
  • Reporting of monthly development WIP
  • Maintaining systems-based records accurately
  • Guidance and developmental coaching to junior team members
  • Comply with all company policies and legislative requirements
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of Compliance & Risk regulatory information
  • Support the risk culture by managing risks
  • Completion of background checks to assess suitability for employment

What the job involves

  • Support the delivery of the Commercial Lending business plan across client satisfaction, business development, income generation, brand profile and reputation, risk management, conduct, compliance and staff development
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of loans/clients including acquisition of new clients and negotiating appropriately structured and priced facilities
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, brokers and their advisors, establishing strategic goals and identifying areas where Hodge can support their needs in the context of risk appetite parameters
