Requirements
- Minimum five years’ experience in LV HV and EHV electrical network design
- Strong capability in reviewing LV connection designs for compliance quality and adoption readiness
- Proven experience in design or approval of EHV assets including substations cable routing and thermal and mechanical rating assessments
- Experience using network studies tools such as PowerFactory ETAP IPSA or equivalent
- Comprehensive understanding of UK DNO and IDNO connection and adoption processes
- Strong working knowledge of UK regulatory and industry standards including ESQCR G98 G99 ENA Engineering Recommendations and CDM Regulations
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline desirable or HNC HND along with experience in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status or working toward it preferred
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable

Day to day
- Act as a technical authority for LV, HV and EHV electrical network designs, delivering clear and authoritative technical reviews.
- Oversee compliant delivery of substations, switchgear, transformers, earthing systems and associated high voltage works.
- Produce and assess detailed network studies and technical calculations to ensure safe, efficient and standards-compliant network adoption.
