Remote Senior Financial Reporting & Technical Accountant Job in San Francisco, CA Discord

Who you are

• Certified Public Accountant
• 5+ years of public accounting and/or public company experience
• Technical accounting and SEC reporting background with thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC standards
• Experience reviewing complex contracts and documenting accounting conclusions
• Strong analytical verbal and written skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Desirables

• Experience with technology or SaaS companies
• Experience using Oracle and/or Workiva
• Prior Big 4 experience

What the job involves

• Preparing consolidated financial statements and related disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and SEC rules
• Assisting with non-routine transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and investment reporting
• Performing global accounting for stock-based compensation awards including valuation and expense calculation
• Providing technical accounting expertise to support Discord’s strategic initiatives
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures including research and implementation of new standards
