Requirements
- Degree in Fire Engineering or related engineering discipline with fire modules
- IFE membership or working toward Chartered Engineer status
- Minimum 5 years fire safety engineering experience
- Deep knowledge of UL 9540A NFPA 855 BS and IEC standards
- Experience with large-scale fire testing and interpretation of results
- Familiarity with ESS hardware development and BESS enclosure designs
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate across global teams and external consultants
- Flexibility to travel and work across time zones
Day to day
- Provide fire safety guidance during the design and development of battery energy storage systems for global markets.
- Evaluate system layouts, battery configurations, ventilation strategies, and fire detection arrangements to strengthen safety and compliance.
- Support product validation, project engineering, regulatory tracking, and documentation across EMEA projects, including fire testing reviews and customer or authority inquiries.
