Remote Senior Hardware Infrastructure Engineer Job in Seattle, WA DigitalOcean

Who you are

• Technical Degree (BS Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of x86 and non-x86 server hardware architecture
• Proficiency in configuration management best-practices (Ansible, Chef)
• Experience automating server components at large-scale using industry-standard tooling (Redfish, IPMI)
• Practical knowledge of PXE boot, UEFI, Linux/OS boot, AMI/OEM BIOS, OpenBMC/AMI/OEM BMC implementations, RAID, and full Network stack
• Adept at Linux or Unix operating systems
• Comfortable with version control systems (Git) and proficient in at least one programming language (Python or Go)
• Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Excellent communication skills within team and broader company
• Passion for hardware both new and old
