  • Extensive experience managing bare-metal Linux servers
  • Strong networking knowledge including switches routers firewalls and proxy servers
  • Proficiency with Terraform
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and Puppet
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Practical experience with Kafka and Redis
  • Familiarity with GitLab
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency with Grafana monitoring
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL administration
  • Comfortable using Jira
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties including evenings and weekends
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communication skills

Day to day

  • Maintain and optimise bare-metal Linux servers to keep critical systems reliable and performant at scale
  • Manage networking and infrastructure components including switches routers firewalls proxy servers Kubernetes Docker Kafka Redis PostgreSQL and MSSQL
  • Build and improve infrastructure automation monitoring and delivery using Terraform Ansible Puppet GitLab Jira Grafana and CI/CD pipelines
  • Respond to incidents through an on-call rotation and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to improve stability and resilience
