Requirements
- Hands-on experience in a lean legal function at a high-growth company
- Proven ability to personally draft contracts manage compliance run diligence and advise leadership
- Meaningful experience supporting M&A deals and transaction execution
- Experience advising a business operating across many states or jurisdictions
- Strong commercial contracts expertise including MSAs SOWs licensing and vendor agreements
- Familiarity with privacy regulations and data governance
- Ability to translate legal risk into business terms for executives and operators
- Experience building legal playbooks templates SOPs or contract management systems from scratch
- Bias for action and comfort with ambiguity
- Strongly preferred: real estate or proptech background
- Strongly preferred: experience with roll-up or multi-unit acquisition strategy
- Strongly preferred: California bar admission

Day to day
- Build AirGarage’s legal function from the ground up as the first in-house legal hire, partnering closely with leadership across sales operations product finance and engineering
- Draft negotiate and close commercial contracts while creating scalable templates playbooks and approval workflows that help the business move quickly with guardrails
- Support M&A real estate acquisitions multi-state compliance privacy IP employment matters and outside counsel coordination across a fast-moving operationally complex company
