Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 8+ years of progressive legal experience across law firm in-house legal department or both
  • At least 3 years in an in-house legal function supporting a technology software consumer tech digital product SaaS or product-led business
  • Demonstrated experience independently drafting reviewing negotiating and advising on complex commercial agreements
  • Experience serving as a primary legal advisor to business stakeholders and independently managing legal matters from issue identification through resolution
  • Experience partnering directly with Product Engineering Operations Partnerships Finance Marketing Customer Experience or similar functions
  • Experience managing multiple legal matters simultaneously in a fast-paced evolving business environment
  • Strong ability to assess legal risk and translate it into practical business-oriented guidance with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands shifting priorities and multiple workstreams effectively
  • Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment
  • Ability to travel biannually or quarterly for multiple days to a corporate office or strategic location

Day to day

  • Serve as an embedded legal partner across Product Engineering Partnerships CX Finance and Operations
  • Review draft redline and negotiate complex commercial vendor software marketing licensing and partnership agreements
  • Provide practical guidance on privacy data use subscriptions consumer protection technology issues litigation support and regulatory matters
  • Improve legal workflows templates guidance and knowledge sharing while using technology and AI thoughtfully to increase efficiency
