Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience in pharmaceutical or biotech settings
  • Significant in-house or law firm experience supporting specialty pharmaceuticals or biotech
  • Experience supporting a specialty pharmaceutical or ophthalmology commercial launch preferred
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks including Anti-Kickback Statute False Claims Act PhRMA Code and state transparency laws
  • Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial customer payer promotional and vendor agreements
  • Excellent judgment and ability to operate independently in a lean fast-moving organization
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Day to day

  • Serve as the primary legal business partner to Commercial and Medical Affairs as the company prepares for US launch and commercial scale-up
  • Draft review and negotiate commercial promotional vendor distribution and market-access agreements while building scalable templates and playbooks
  • Advise on healthcare compliance FDA requirements non-promotional scientific exchange and MLR review across commercial and medical activities
  • Support Medical Affairs programs including investigator-sponsored studies grants scientific communications speaker programs advisory boards and congress engagements
  • Collaborate with leadership legal compliance regulatory and outside counsel to identify mitigate and escalate legal risks
