Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 20+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred
- Extensive actuator engineering experience
- Experience defining requirements and working with vendors
- Experience developing custom solutions and small component design
- Extensive electronics packaging experience
- Structural FEA experience
- Thermal design experience
- SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
- Thorough understanding of GD&T ASME Y14.5
- Knowledge of injection molding sheet metal machining and rapid prototyping
- Knowledge of assembly and alignment methods
- Ability to identify and root-cause system-level defects
- Experience in design and integration of complex systems
- Organization and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and write detailed reports

Day to day
- Design and integrate complex mechanical systems for client projects with a focus on practical performance and manufacturability.
- Develop custom parts and prototype concepts quickly while applying mechanical engineering principles and detailed CAD modeling.
- Create drawings and BOMs using ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and collaborate closely with clients project managers and external partners.
