Remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job in United States Confidential

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Aerospace Biomedical Engineering or equivalent area required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
• Strong proficiency in CAD software preferably SolidWorks
• Experience in design and troubleshooting of gantry systems motion systems and large electromechanical systems
• Knowledge in software programming with Python MATLAB C++ and HTML
• Analytical and problem-solving skills in modeling and simulations
• Ability to manage product development from ideation to production ramp-up

What the job involves

• Designing precision motion stages and components in a CAD environment such as SolidWorks
• Generating drawings for parts and assemblies
• Modeling and simulation of design components such as dynamic system modeling kinematic modeling and structural and thermal analysis
• Building prototypes
• Supporting production tasks including inspections troubleshooting assemblies and testing
• Writing and updating work instructions per production and quality feedback
• Finding and managing vendors for prototyping and manufacturing
• Creating test fixtures instrumenting with data acquisition systems and programming
• Unit and system testing of prototype designs
• Supporting production for method sheet creation tooling and process qualification
