Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer Job in California, United States GoPro

Who you are

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience in mechanical and/or product design development
• Experience in the development of consumer electronics products preferably in handheld mobile and wireless devices
• Extensive experience creating MCOs for PCB/FPC design and working directly with EE team members
• Expert in CAD (NX preferred) and solid working knowledge of FEA
• Experience working with Asian ODM/JDM partners and manufacturing suppliers
• Ability to work and communicate cross-functionally with minimal supervision
• A multitasking team player with project leadership experience

What the job involves

• Lead the mechanical architecture and detailed design of new products
• Own the overall design analysis documentation and functional validation of mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies
• Collaborate with internal and external teams (i.e. Suppliers partners manufacturing operations quality tooling etc.) to ensure the successful development and launch of new products
• Contribute to the development of mechanical tooling and production part qualification (i.e. first-article inspections manufacturing process capabilities (Cp/Cpk) measurement gage repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) material certifications etc.)
