Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- PE license preferred
- 8+ years designing mechanical and piping systems for large-scale data centers
- Strong knowledge of cooling systems controls and site construction for mechanical infrastructure
- Proficient in FEA and CFD-based analysis tools
- Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing codes standards and utility requirements
- Experience managing external design consultants and issuing reviewing RFPs
- Experience with Bluebeam Excel SmartSheet MS Office and Procore
- Ability to research emerging technologies and develop innovative solutions
- Effective communicator able to present technical papers and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for site assessments and meetings

Day to day
- Perform mechanical design efforts for large-scale data center facilities with a focus on resilience efficiency and compliance
- Supervise external engineering consultants and manage multiple concurrent design projects across the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain mechanical design standards specification templates and Basis of Design documentation while researching new cooling and infrastructure technologies
- Collaborate with vendors internal teams AHJs utilities and construction partners conduct site visits and support design reviews construction and technical paper preparation
