Requirements
- 8–10 years of RF engineering experience in radio telecommunications
- Hands-on experience designing or implementing a P-25 Digital LMR network
- Experience with RF coverage modeling and drive testing
- Experience supporting microwave backhaul integration
- Experience supporting multi-site public safety communications deployments
- Familiarity with FCC regulatory requirements
Nice to have
- PE license
- Advanced RF certification
- Island environment experience
- Public safety focus
Day to day
- Lead RF engineering execution for the P-25 Digital Trunked Land Mobile Radio modernization across the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Develop propagation models and coverage maps to support reliable public safety communications.
- Conduct drive testing site surveys antenna validation optimization and interoperability testing across multiple islands.
