Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or a similar role, with a focus on generating actionable business insights
  • 5+ years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with cloud cost management challenges
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, with experience using data science libraries and tools (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.)
  • Expertise in cloud architecture, containerization (EKS, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and serverless computing
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and develop models that can handle complex data relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

  • Background in cloud security or experience as a security researcher
  • Contributions to open-source projects related to cloud operations or security
  • Experience with reverse engineering, cloud security research, or low-level systems analysis
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization techniques
  • Track record of technical innovation, preferably with patents or published research
  • Experience in financial modeling or cost optimization

Day to day

  • You will be a key driver of innovation and strategic decision-making by uncovering and developing actionable insights that guide our customers in optimizing their cloud costs. Your work will have a direct impact on how organizations understand and optimize their cloud spending, helping them achieve financial efficiency and operational excellence. You will focus on advanced technical research in cloud optimization, with an emphasis on developing novel approaches to cloud cost management and efficiency.
  • Analyze complex cloud environments to uncover hidden optimization opportunities
  • Lead research initiatives, experiment with new methodologies, and develop algorithms that can process vast amounts of data to reveal trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
  • Design and implement proof-of-concept systems to validate new approaches in cloud optimization
  • Conduct deep exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, correlations, and trends in cloud usage that can inform strategic decisions for customers
  • Work closely with product managers and engineers to translate insights into product features
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and cloud cost management, applying new techniques and approaches to enhance the quality and impact of insights
  • Prepare detailed documentation of research findings, methodologies, and algorithms
  • Author technical papers and present findings at industry conferences
  • Contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio through patents and publications
