Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Robotics Mechatronics Automation Control Engineering Computer Science Bioengineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience in robotics or lab automation including programming robotic arms configuring liquid handlers and integrating laboratory instruments
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks or robotics middleware such as ROS OPC UA message queues SCADA custom schedulers or lab automation frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ or C# for scripting device integration and workflow automation using APIs and SDKs
  • Practical experience in industrial automation autonomous systems or lab automation with exposure to life science or bioprocess environments as a strong plus
  • Experience with data handling and analysis in automated experiments including logging device data handling metadata and basic visualization
  • Understanding of distributed systems APIs and cloud-based services is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to interdisciplinary teams and non-experts
  • Experience working independently to drive complex workflows and willingness to be proactive
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a large matrix-based organization and global teams

Day to day

  • Design and deploy robotic lab workflows that connect liquid handlers incubators imaging systems analytical instruments and sensors into reliable end-to-end automation
  • Develop orchestration and scheduling solutions that coordinate multiple devices and robots for repeatable high-throughput closed-loop experiments
  • Collaborate with biologists engineers software and data science teams to translate manual protocols into robust automated workflows and scalable digital solutions
