Remote Senior Software Engineering Manager Job in United States Ford Motor Company

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related fields
• 10+ years experience in managing/leading API/backend projects and/or teams
• Working experience and knowledge of end-to-end delivery from design, development, integrations, monitoring, and logging solutions into production operations
• Apollo GraphQL certifications are required

Desirables

• Master's degree in computer science, information systems
• Excellent oral and writing communication skills
• Understanding of Apollo Studio development environment and tools
• Project Management methodologies and tools, preferably Agile methodologies, Jira tools
• Familiar with DevOps and Automation tools and processes like GitOps
• Experience in the Automotive industry, not mandatory
• Knowledge of GCP Platform

What the job involves

• Lead a passionate group of Engineers on the API Strategy for Ford Credit
• Lead application architecture discussions with Enterprise Architecture, engineers, product teams
• Be part of an Orchestration platform team responsible for API Security and a Federated GraphQL-based API platform
• Report to the Director of Engineering and lead the next-gen strategy for the platform
• Enhance CI/CD based practices and evolve SRE principles
