Remote Senior Software/Hardware Performance Engineer Job in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK Signaloid

Who you are

• Strong background in computer architecture and algorithms, with 5-10 years experience in low-level C/C++ and optimizing software to hardware constraints
• Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL, design for FPGAs or ASIC tapeout, and demonstrated leadership in product delivery
• Ability to listen empathetically, understand constraints, and communicate effectively

Desirables

• Initiating bringup for new hardware
• Interest in non-traditional computer architectures
• Experience with Go and Rust
• Long-term equity orientation
• Exceptional communication skills

What the job involves

• Delivering performance improvements throughout the lower levels of Signaloid's technology stack, ranging from interfacing with custom silicon and FPGA accelerators to delivering algorithmic improvements
• Working closely within the leadership team to set and deliver the long-term technology strategy of the company
• Leading new technology initiatives within the company and exploring other opportunities based on performance
