Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English communications journalism or related field
  • Approximately five years of professional writing editing or technical communications experience
  • Ability to write accurately for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with structured content content reuse modular writing metadata tagging document templates CMS collaboration platforms reference-management tools and workflow automation
  • Ability to build repeatable writing workflows and maintain audit-ready traceability
  • Comfort evaluating emerging tools for fit risk security usability accessibility and quality-control burden
  • Strong understanding of technical terminology healthcare delivery systems and health communications principles
  • Experience developing or editing technical reports clinical guidance educational materials web content program documentation training content or executive-level briefing materials
  • Exceptional command of grammar structure tone plain language and document organization
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables deadlines review cycles and stakeholder inputs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel Teams SharePoint and collaborative document review tools
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship

Day to day

  • Develop, edit, and maintain clear technical documentation and program materials for federal health programs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, clinicians, researchers, program managers, and federal stakeholders to validate content and align deliverables with program goals.
  • Support content strategy, version control, quality assurance, and document management across multiple concurrent projects while helping coordinate design sessions and final documentation updates.
