  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of generator control systems
  • Experience with major engine manufacturers such as Perkins Cummins Volvo MTU Scania Caterpillar or Baudouin
  • Understanding of alternators switchgear and associated standby generator systems
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills
  • Proactive and flexible approach to work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Day to day

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on standby generators and associated equipment
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults across critical environments
  • Carry out emergency response support load bank testing commissioning control system fault finding and fuel system inspections
