Remote Software Development Lead Job in UK CGI

Who you are

• Have several years of recent Software Solutions Architecture Experience in Satellite Systems command and data processing, OSS/BSS, satellite modem/terminal software, or VSAT platforms
• Demonstrate ability to take responsibility for a solution and consider strategic and tactical aspects
• Experience in designing high level architectures using standardized approaches and tools, requirements management, and Technical Specifications
• Experience in writing detailed designs based on high level architectures
• Experience in the development and testing lifecycle
• Experience in developing to stringent standards (Space, Defence standards etc)
• Ability to lead others in technical work
• Good communication and planning skills, able to manage concurrent activities against external dependencies

Desirables

• Cybersecurity knowledge
• Use of reference models and Space Standards
• TOGAF certification
• Experience with Agile and DevOps

What the job involves

• Lead the teams to produce a working system ready for user acceptance testing
• Identify and record integration issues between sub-systems
• Coordinate technical discussions and identify solutions
• Implement fixes personally
• Work with development leads to coordinate other developers implementing fixes
• Analyse data architecture and identify gaps/issues
• Work with the customer to resolve data issues
• Assist with system integration test and user acceptance test campaigns
• Drive the development of operational mission-critical systems in the SatComs domain
