Who you are

• 3+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of SaaS application development experience
• Experience with React and Redux
• Building performant and scalable web applications
• Frequent production releases
• Complex asynchronous code that communicates with multiple services
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis

What the job involves

• Write clean, efficient, performant and scalable code
• Eliminate performance bottlenecks in new Smartsheet views written in TypeScript, React, and Redux
• Collaborate with views teams to understand upcoming features and their impact on system performance
• Profile view applications to identify web performance bottlenecks
• Develop and educate web performance patterns, tooling, standards, and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions with other software engineers, UX designers, and product managers
• Implement performance and scale improvements in TypeScript/React/Redux and integrate with back-end Kotlin/Java services on AWS
