Remote Software Engineer II Job in Redmond, WA Microsoft

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, or C++ OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experiences in cloud backend development and operations
• 2+ years of experiences with multi-threaded programming
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check

Desirables

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, or C++
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, or C++

What the job involves

• Designing and implementing protocols and features for data durability, availability, scalability, and performance of backend distributed block storage
• Innovate with a fast paced highly talented team and have high impact on cloud storage industry
• Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual(DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems
