Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of backend services development with Java, Spring, Spring Boot using maven/gradle
• Experience writing clean code with quality assurance
• Knowledge of cloud agnostic and cloud native services
• Basic devops knowledge with CI/CD
• Good analytical and decision making skills
• Innovative mindset and eagerness to learn and use next gen technologies
• Professional English communication skills for working with International teams

Desirables

• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Familiar with Kafka, or any message broker
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL
• Understanding of MongoDB/ElasticSearch
• Cloud experience with Azure or any cloud platform
• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes
• Skilled with GitHub Actions

What the job involves

• Assist in developing innovative platform services for the transportation domain at Trimble.
• Seamlessly integrate services with Trimble Cloud core platform services and offer transportation platform APIs for various products.
• Take full ownership of new platform services including development and maintenance, building a robust foundation for transportation products.
• Design and develop scalable, performant, and flexible domain-specific products.
• Oversee the development, testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance of services.
• Follow best practices, ensuring code coverage, CI/CD, and security compliance.
• Build strong relationships within and across globally distributed teams to encourage collaboration.
