Who you are

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
• 7+ overall years of experience
• 4+ years of management experience with prior hands-on experience as an individual contributor
• A proven track record of project deliveries while managing Systems Engineers and Software Engineers focused on cloud infrastructure or cloud application services
• Experience with DevOps and/or SRE practices and/or Platform Engineering
• Systematic problem-solving approach
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Sense of ownership and drive

Desirables

• Developing bare metal as a service (BMaaS) associated systems
• Developing multi-cloud infrastructure services
• Developing multi-cloud applications or ML/AI services
• Teaching reliability (e.g SRE) or more general cloud systems good practices to peers or to other companies (e.g CRE)
• Running private or public cloud systems based on Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker or Slurm

What the job involves

• Build and run reliable cloud infrastructure services at scale close to bare metal
• Develop one or more teams to ensure internal and external facing cloud services atop of our hardware for accelerated computing are running reliably
• Recruit and retain talent with technical experiences in managing teams
• Manage careers of direct reports
• Participate in strategic planning and reporting
• Be accountable for deliverables of team(s) in scope
• Foster a collaborative environment
