Requirements

  • 8+ years in pre-sales solutions engineering or technical sales at cloud infrastructure PaaS or developer tools company
  • Hands-on experience with a major PaaS platform such as Heroku Render Railway Fly.io or similar
  • Proficiency across modern web stacks including servers background workers databases caching CI/CD and containers
  • Ability to write code in Python Ruby Node.js Go or similar to debug deploys and build POCs
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including private networking egress control TLS and custom domains
  • Excellent communication skills for both executive presentations and technical pairing
  • Track record of managing multiple simultaneous technical evaluations
  • Thrives in a fast-moving early-stage environment

Day to day

  • Lead technical discovery with prospects to uncover infrastructure needs and migration complexity
  • Deliver customized product demonstrations that map Render capabilities to customer use cases
  • Architect and run proof-of-concept deployments that validate real production workloads
  • Serve as the technical expert for Heroku migrations and handle technical objections with credible guidance
  • Collaborate with account executives to build consensus and contribute feedback to product and technical marketing
