Who you are
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience and education. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and good standing member of a state bar. Excellent communication skills
Ten years or more of legal and contracting experience with US Government, nationally recognized law firm, corporation in a highly regulated industry, or all three
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Clearance
Active TS/SCI clearance or eligible to qualify for one
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong business acumen, risk management, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with dispute resolution and litigation
Strong legal research skills and ability to interact effectively with engineers, scientists, staff, and legal counsel from various agencies and organizations

What the job involves
Act as program counsel for initiatives including the Orion spacecraft and various NASA programs
Support programs related to DARPA and AFRL, including nuclear propulsion and lunar fission surface power
Engage in novel legal, business, government, commercial contracting, supply chain, data rights, space law, and international challenges
Interact with NASA, NOAA, DARPA, and DOD legal counsel and program officials
Advise on regulatory compliance for domestic and international space opportunities.
