Role


Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience and education. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and good standing member of a state bar. Excellent communication skills
  • Ten years or more of legal and contracting experience with US Government, nationally recognized law firm, corporation in a highly regulated industry, or all three
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or eligible to qualify for one
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen, risk management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with dispute resolution and litigation
  • Strong legal research skills and ability to interact effectively with engineers, scientists, staff, and legal counsel from various agencies and organizations

What the job involves

  • Act as program counsel for initiatives including the Orion spacecraft and various NASA programs
  • Support programs related to DARPA and AFRL, including nuclear propulsion and lunar fission surface power
  • Engage in novel legal, business, government, commercial contracting, supply chain, data rights, space law, and international challenges
  • Interact with NASA, NOAA, DARPA, and DOD legal counsel and program officials
  • Advise on regulatory compliance for domestic and international space opportunities.
