Remote Sr Accountant Job in Ohio, United States Tietoevry

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years relevant accounting experience, public accounting or corporate accounting
• Working knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS preferred)
• Ability to work independently and on a team, meet deadlines, thrive under minimal guidance
• Experience with automated accounting systems (Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and strong analytical skills
• Interest in identifying and resolving problems, suggesting process improvements
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to establish credibility, make decisions and forge relationships

Desirables

• Knowledge of IFRS
• Experience within a global company environment

What the job involves

• Assist with month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and accruals, and reviewing and correcting expense GL coding.
• Support various audits, tax filings and payroll, and assist Tietoevry group entities in providing documents to group holding company.
• Coordinate with external and internal tax compliance partners, assist with balance sheet and P&L flux analysis, and prepare month-end financial packages.
• Handle other ad-hoc projects, including month-end close accruals and reconciliations, local entity payroll support, and various legacy entity tasks such as banking, credit card management and email inbox checking.
