Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing vector databases and data stores, including Elastic Search and AWS OpenSearch
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Proven experience leading data infrastructure migrations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data management best practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Master’s degree
- Experience with other data stores and databases
- Certification in cloud platforms
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
Day to day
- Manage and maintain vector databases and data stores, including Elastic Search and AWS OpenSearch
- Lead the migration of data infrastructure to modern, scalable solutions
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of data infrastructure
- Implement and manage cloud-based solutions, leveraging AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to maintain and improve system availability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide robust data solutions
- Monitor and optimize data storage and retrieval processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data infrastructure
- Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and processes
