Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or equivalent education
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience
  • At least 2 years of public accounting experience, preferably Big Four
  • Insurance accounting experience is a plus

Day to day

  • Prepares, analyzes, and evaluates subsidiary general ledgers with accuracy and care.
  • Maintains highly complex operating and financial reports and supports month-end to year-end reporting cycles.
  • Produces financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SAP and may assist with footnote disclosures.
  • Conducts advanced financial analyses and special projects and may coordinate with outside auditors and public accounting firms.
