Remote Sr Power System Support Engineer Job in UK GE Vernova

Who you are

• Strong knowledge in power systems domain including network modelling and SCADA applications, proficiency in C or C++ programming, IT knowledge, excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, ability to interpret system logs, and strong customer communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, STEM majors with advanced experience
• Prior experience with EMS, DTS, and Modeling applications, programming skills in Fortran, Java, Perl, PowerShell, SQL scripting languages, database operations with Oracle and SQLServer, power flow analysis, and transmission network applications

What the job involves

• Provide expert L2/L3 support for Power System Applications, troubleshoot issues with customers, monitor cases, handle emergency calls, facilitate customer-vendor relationships, and report performance
• Work with global teams to resolve technical issues, assist with system installation and testing, configuration management, system tuning, and pro-active monitoring
• Interface with customers on activities related to power systems, maintain positive attitude, prioritize workload, and promote change
