Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data science machine learning or a related field with focus on fraud prevention or anti-money laundering
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Cloud development experience with AWS GCP Azure or similar and MLOps knowledge is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques for fraud detection
  • Experience with large datasets using distributed systems like Apache Spark and Dask
  • Strong data cleaning data quality data transformation and feature engineering skills at scale
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment

Day to day

  • Develop and implement advanced fraud detection models using machine learning and statistical techniques to stop fraudulent activity
  • Analyze large volumes of data to uncover patterns trends and anomalies and turn them into actionable fraud prevention insights
  • Collaborate closely with engineering product and operations teams to design improve and scale fraud detection systems
  • Evaluate optimize and update models continuously to keep pace with evolving fraud tactics and maintain strong performance
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders while ensuring data privacy and security compliance
