• Strong understanding of API standards, design approaches, and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of CAP Theorem and distributed systems design patterns.
• Strong understanding of Kafka and related event-based patterns.
• Proficient with TypeScript.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Strong understanding of developer experience in everything you build.

What the job involves

• Design and deliver scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams, integrating customer feedback into API tooling and services.
• Create new architectural foundations and mission-critical distributed systems while collaborating with other teams.
• Uphold the highest levels of customer satisfaction and maintain API governance through collaboration, automation, and outreach.
• Own the integration within our API Gateway layer and API lifecycles from design to production.
• Identify improvements to both new and existing critical shared services to accelerate product development.
